Welcome

“Every Veteran deserves to have this included in their transition. It’s better than 10 psychologists because it is tools you can use everyday. You feel you can be in control of your life.”  —participant, April 2013

When Veterans return to civilian life, they often lack the direction and tools they need to productively reconnect with civilian employers, their communities and their families. Return With Purpose provides the essential training ground for relearning and practicing the life skills necessary to successfully transition back into civilian life. It leads military service members and Veterans to make the changes necessary to achieve their full potential, allows them to realize their vision, and directs them to rediscover meaning and purpose.

Transitions are different for each participant; some will become job seekers, some will enroll in higher education and some simply will develop a stronger connection to their family and community.  Return With Purpose does this through a two phase process.  Phase I is a 9 hour facilitated curriculum delivered in 1 day to groups of up to 25 participants.  Participants leave with a 5 step action plan.  Phase II provides continual support including mentoring with 60 and 90 day follow up to ensure that the action plan is being worked.  In summary, the RWP process provides clarity of vision, tools to reduce obstacles, and a 5 step action plan to create a path forward.
